About Farma Holding
The Farma Holding group comprises several subsidiaries, whose activities are all related to supply of pharmaceutical products and services.
Our pharmaceutical history goes back to 1957 and the formation of Norsk Medisinaldepot. 1995 marks another important milestone
with the establishment of Farmagon AS and initiation of parallel distribution of medicines. Over the last decade the company
has grown substantially and is the today market leader in Norway within most of its core activities including parallel distribution
of medicines, pharmaceutical raw materials, import and distribution of healthcare products, independent pharmaceutical lab
services, clinical service, and re-packaging services. In 2007 the group generated revenues of approximately 450m.
Farma Holding has a modern and dynamic organization with 55 highly competent and involved employees. A main organizational objective is to preserve our good working environment and to develop our human capital.
The group subsidiaries include Farmagon AS, Farlic AS, Apotekproduksjon AS, Farma Helse AS and Farpack AS.
Farmagon and Farlic are together the leading parallel distributor of pharmaceuticals in Norway. By leveraging price differences within the European Economic Area, we can offer genuine, original branded products at competitive prices. Parallel distributors are an established component of the pharmaceutical distribution process in Europe. Each year the society profits from parallel distribution through reduced medical expenses.
Levering on its strong pharmaceutical lab capabilities Apotekproduksjon is an established supplier of tested and controlled pharmaceutical raw materials to pharmacies, pharmaceutical industry and hospitals. Further businesses areas include clinical service, repackaging of medicines as well as production and sale of medicines and healthcare products.
Farma Helseimports a broad range of healthcare related products. Our extensive healthcare competence and in-depth knowledge of prime suppliers are our key success factors. Farma Helse’s customers include large pharmacy chains as well as nationwide organisations.
Farpackhas long experience in packaging and re-labelling of pharmaceuticals and healthcare related products for both internal and external customers.
Farma Holding holds a pharmaceutical wholesaling authorisation issued by the Norwegian Medicines Agency (Statens Legemiddelverk) in accordance with Article 77 of EU Directive 2001/83/EC. Further, Farma Holding follows Good Distribution Practice guidelines in accordance with Article 84 of EU Directive 1994/C63/03. In practical terms, Farma Holding has all the required licences for wholesale, packaging, import, sale or export of pharmaceuticals.
